
Ike Nnaebue
Ike Nnaebue is a Nigerian filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and cultural entrepreneur born in 1975 in Ojoto, Anambra State, Nigeria. He is renowned for his impactful storytelling and advocacy through cinema, particularly in addressing themes of migration, human rights, and social justice. Nnaebue's notable works include the 2013 film *False*, which garnered multiple nominations and awards, and the 2017 film *Sink or Swim*, which won Best Narrative Feature at the Newark International Film Festival. His 2022 documentary *No U-Turn*, which retraces his own journey from Nigeria to Europe, has received international acclaim, including a Special Jury Mention at the Berlin International Film Festival, Best Documentary at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), and the Artistic Bravery Award at the Durban International Film Festival. Beyond filmmaking, Nnaebue is the founder and CEO of LP House of Creatives, an organization dedicated to empowering African creatives. He also established Screenlab Africa, an international story development and film consulting platform aimed at supporting Nollywood and African filmmakers. Through his work, Nnaebue continues to inspire and mentor emerging filmmakers, advocating for African narratives on global platforms and fostering a new generation of storytellers.
